Dear Postcrossing friends (September 2012): I apologize deeply if you are waiting for me to register a postcard that you have sent me this summer, but I have been dealing with a terrible family emergency (my dear old father became very ill and died suddenly) and have fallen far behind on my Postcrossing responsibilities. I'm working on getting all postcards registered, but I ask for your forgiveness and patience at this difficult time as I get caught up. Thank you so much in advance...

Greetings from Las Vegas! I'm a 41-year-old spinster who works as a copyright attorney and lives with six cats, the largest of whom, the Luigi-monster, graces this postcrossing account! Originally I'm from Huntsville, Alabama; I went to university in Roanoke, Virginia and to law school in Lexington, Virginia, and then I lived in Arlington, Virginia, just across the Potomac River from Washington, D.C., for several years before I moved west to Nevada in 2001.

Things I love include vegetable gardening, knitting, sewing, paper crafts, lomography, languages (I'm always trying to learn more things to say in languages other than English, so please feel free to write to me in your native language!), medical books and TV shows ("House, M.D." is my current favorite), and most of all TRAVEL (so far I've visited France, Switzerland, England, Jamaica, Singapore, Malta, the Netherlands, Bulgaria, Romania, Mexico, Sweden, Bolivia, and Germany).

I enjoy all kinds of postcards, but especially those that give me a taste of where you live--including ad-cards, which, unlike a lot of people, I really love! I'm also interested in writing to FEMALE penfriends.
