About Erik...

Vítej, cestovateli!
Welcome, traveler!

I'm already excited about whatever you'll decide to send me.
If you put a piece of mind in it - and considering this is 2019 and you're about to send an actual postcard to a person you don't know, I think you might - I'll cherish it.

Call me Erik, please, I'm from the odd country of Czech Republic, and at the moment I live in the middle of a forest!
I'm a poor student of arts and general sciences, heading off to wildlife preservation in the tropics this year. I love poetry and music, play guitar and consider myself an artist.

I apologize for the rather exhausting description you're about to attempt to read and thank You if you do. <3

I have a stagnating collection of stamps, keep a crested gecko and two cool snails. I'd love a dog buddy, someday, a Czechoslovakian wolfdog because I love wolves immensely (!).

I am very parted between art and science and love widening my sights in both (those years of art culture classes were so interesting? and I can't believe I actually managed to graduate from math). Overall, I find educating myself really fun, which here and there crashes into spending a lot of time painting or playing.

The music one can hear from the spaces I occupy is very usually some kinda rock or a flavorful deviation of it (as is in my opinion grunge, indie, goth and really whatever).
Either that or... anything else that's great, from Einaudi's elaborate piano piece to Nas' 'The World Is Yours' hip-hop wonder.
I'm always delighted to get inspired in this area. (!) Never enough to listen to.

I love the sensation of reading and wish I read way more books than I actually do. Last favorite book: The House In Which, Mariam Petrosyan.

I enjoy interesting, mind-wrecking movies, and most of my dearest ones happen to have been created within a two year frame from the 2000. Or earlier. Not all, though. The years of my conscious life have also brought some awesome pictures. I don't know, any recommendations?

I'd love to go everywhere, see all natural lands and rush into the wilderness silently, backpack around the world and twist my frame of mind, meet a lot of people and also spend a lot of time alone somewhere out there.

I have a thing for herbs and gems, maybe also feathers. I read tarot.
I like to think of the stuff above the materialistic universe we take as fundamental and the most real and important. What's even real - just because it's in your mind, doesn't mean it isn't. Perhaps?

Comics are such an underrated medium! Set aside stereotypical captain america and discover treasures! My absolute favorites are Blacksad, Saga or the Umbrella Academy. All have breathtaking artwork, aside a great plot and atmosphere.

Lastly, I love all things weird, curious, random and oddly specific.
Just let go. Wing it.

I'll also be happy to write back, if you wish.

Loving, Erik.

PS: I faint over local public transportation tickets. Really. I don't know what's wrong with me.
