I'm Lisa and I am a Philatelist. That may sound very sophisticated but really, it's someone that collects stamps! Actually, I not only collect stamps, but my full-time job is also selling, buying, and appraising them. Did you know that there was a stamp that recently sold for over 9 million US dollars? It's called the British Guiana 1¢ magenta. There is only one known to exist in the world 😲
I heard about Postcrossing through several customers that buy stamps from me, and it sounded interesting, so I thought I'd give it a try.
I love my job as a stamp dealer! I meet so many people from around the world and they all have at least one thing in common - they collect stamps!

I live on the Western side of the United States in the Pacific Northwest, specifically Washington state. It is beautiful here! If you love the outdoors, this is the place to be! I really enjoy camping and hiking trails. I love it here, but my family lives all the way on the other side of the US so it's lonely sometimes.

I have two adult children and one feline child,
(his name is Spartacus 😄).

As for sending postcards, I'm still new to this so I don't have a preference yet. Envelopes are ok. Tell me about yourself; what you do for a job or what your hobbies are.
