I'm Leif, a pure hearted artistic 30 year old from the beautiful mountains of Jackson, Wyoming. I finished my bachelor of liberal arts and sciences at Quest University in Squamish, British Columbia, Canada where my final project focused on Chinese film studies. I enjoy playing and listening to music, the tranquility of the natural world that surrounds me, helping others, pen palling, writing poetry, and many other things. In terms of music: I play piano, ukulele, bass, guitar, mandolin, harp, accordion, mallet percussion (marimba, bells, xylophone), drums, pump organ, and I sing! I'm very interested in international collaborative projects and I have one going currently in regards to music, I'd be delighted to hear from anyone who would like to contribute to this.

In addition to my passion for music, the environment, and helping people with english in other countries (and learning more about their languages and culture) I also enjoy spontaneous events with my friends (sledding at night, morning bike rides), attending dance performances/concerts/plays, cross country running, and nordic skiing.

I graduated from Quest where my studies focused on Mainland Chinese Gender and Sexuality studies. At our school our major is based on a question, mine is: What influence does western thought have on eastern values? My final thesis explored differences in portrayals of lesbian relationships in Chinese, Taiwanese, HK, and overseas Chinese film. I am currently working as a Customer Service Representative at my local airport's FBO and at a wonderful group home for adults with developmental disabilities.

I got married October 15th, 2016 to China's loveliest Yingying (莹莹）if you could collectively address your postcards to us both that would be delightful! She is working at a liquor store in my hometown and enjoys needlefelting and watching Chinese dramas. We enjoy hiking and biking in the summers and cross country skiing in the winters. We occasionally go back to China to visit extended family and travel when we have a chance.
