I live in Colorado Springs, Colorado. My wife and I both grew up in Iowa. I retired in October 2022 after more than 31 years as a Physician Assistant, and 36 years total in health care. My wife retired the same day I did! We have been married for 30 years as of May 2022. We do not have any children. We love to travel, both in the USA and internationally. During our travels, whether overseas or right here in Colorado, I like to collect magnets from the places we visit. Of course, I always look for local post cards, too.
I also enjoy reading, fishing, movies, photography, and history. I am a scuba diver and a former skydiver. I am a fan of college football (especially the University of Iowa -- GO HAWKEYES!) and NHL hockey (Colorado Avalanche). I always enjoy learning more about history, literature, music, and other languages. I currently speak six languages, some more proficiently than others, and plan to learn more.
I would like to receive all types of postcards. My favorites are photos of your home country, region, or city, especially those showing local landmarks and scenery. I love any that show local or national customs and traditions, traditional clothing and events. I also like photos of churches, animals, and historic sites. I also like cards that depict works of art. Homemade/handmade cards are fine, too. In short, I would love to receive any cards you want to send. I do not want to receive anything that advocates any political position.
Feel free to write about yourself, where you live, what you like to do, what kinds of books and music you like, your pets, or anything. I love jokes. If you have a clean joke that fits on a post card, I would love to read it! If you wish, send me poetry or verse you have written, or any favorite poetry or Bible verse.
