About Keather...

I am 29 years old and live in Wichita, Kansas, United States, but I am originally from Arkansas. My husband is a pastor (UMC) and I am a teacher. I teach English as a Second Language to high school students and I love getting to learn about different languages and cultures around the world. I have a dog (Laila) and two cats (Angela and Manny) who are kind of like my children! But the big news is that my first child is on his/her way in June!

I love reading (a lot!) and writing. I also love going out to the movies and my husband and I like to try new foods and eat at gourmet restaurants when we can afford it. I love doing things outdoors and try to be outside whenever the weather is nice. :)

I love meeting new people and learning about the world. I am on here because I love getting and receiving mail and think it is such a fun way to connect with other people from around the world. I can't wait to check my mailbox!

I would love any kind of postcard that you are willing to send, but please tell me something about yourself, your culture, or your country! That is what I am most interested in! I am also willing to swap small souvenirs if you are interested.

*Special Direct Swap: In addition to postcards, I would like to collect children's books of different cultures for my future children. I would love it if you would write a little note about yourself or your country inside. I would also like it if you would send me a story or song from your country/culture and pictures and recipes of traditional foods and pictures/descriptions of traditional clothing. I can send you something from/about Kansas or the U.S. if you do not want to swap children's books. Please contact me if you would like to swap and I will do the same!

** January 3, 2013**To PostCrossers who have recently sent postcards to me that have not been registered, I sincerely apologize for the delay.I am pregnant and have been very sick the last couple of months. This week, I was diagnosed with hyperemesis and have to go to the hospital three times a week to receive fluids. I am a teacher and keeping up with work while being so sick has been very difficult. As you can imagine, everything extra has fallen to the wayside ,including PostCrossing. My husband has been collecting my mail in a box for when I feel good enough to go through it all. I know that I have several unregistered postcards and I apologize for the delay. As soon as I feel well enough and have time, I will try to go through it and make sure they are all accounted for. Thank you for your understanding.

**February 25, 2013** I know I have been a terrible postcrosser and am so sorry if you sent me a card that expired! I am finally starting to feel better and trying to organize my house. My husband and I are going through the giant box of mail that has collected and I will try to get them registered soon!
