Hello, my name is Kim and I am a teacher, wife, mom, city councilor within my city's government and an independent consultant for Close To My Heart sharing papercrafting tips, techniques and products. My specific hobbies are: sewing, scrapbooking, reading, collecting postcards and worldwide postage stamps. I love animals and have one dog and one cat. Oregon is a very green state in the United States and I have lived here most of my life. Industries include (but by far are not limited to) Christmas trees and Tillamook ice cream and cheese which are my two favorites. Also, in the state of Oregon you can drive to the coast, mountain range and the desert all in the same day (a long day, but it can be done).

The only other country I have ever visited was Cananda in 1986.

Please let me know about where you live and your interests. I feel we are losing sight of the importance of handwritten notes, thus I am very excited about postcrossing...I want to see people's penmanship. My preference in postcards are those which show and tell about your country and lifestyle with great postage stamps for my collection.

Please send postcards depicting your country and lifestyle, be sure they are family friendly. If you are going to send a handmade postcard, please be sure it is ornate. NO AD POSTCARDS! Thank you.
