About Kim...

Hello, World!
I am an old hybrid goth/metalhead, gen-X chiropractor in San Francisco and enjoy all things postal. I love going to film festivals, opera and traveling. :-) I go the beach in the morning before work to start the day on a bright note. Pictures of my beach mornings are on my Instagram: _kimakoi_

My FAVORITE things to read about on postcards are people's strange stories! Your strange or funny dreams, ghost stories, UFO, Mothman, near death, etc. Or strange things that you eat, strange habits... strange things that bother you, or if you have nothing strange at all, maybe tell me what you think is strange about other people?? 😬

I love the stamps as much as I love the postcard, and I look at them with a magnifying glass. (To be honest, I'm getting to the age where I often have to look at the whole card with the magnifying glass!)

If you can't think of anything, draw a little picture of yourself (even a stick figure!) - even if you are a horrible artist. I love it all!

Some favorite postcard themes:
* strange, oddball things
* spooky things
* vintage, historical
* deities from all traditions, "good" or "bad"
* peacocks, shoebill storks, beautiful birds
* Freddie Mercury
* dark humor
* tattoos
* beautiful things
* LGBTQ+ (I am the T, B and Q in the alphabet soup)
* cats
* ocean - anything related to big water or marine life, really

ALSO: if you are a stamp collector, let me know - I have a lot of stamps which I save in a little box, but I'm not a collector myself... I save them to send to other people who do collect. I can't promise specific stamps, but if you don't mind random stamps from random places then I'm happy to share.

My "Favorites" will give you an idea of what I like, but I'm happy with whatever you choose to send.

And finally... my biggest news right now - and a lifelong dream come true - is that my first book was recently published!! 🥳 It's a laugh/cry book about how we live our lives through our bodies. It's part memoir, part health manual and part business book. (and I also mention Postcrossing in it! 😊) :

Happy Postcrossing!
