About Kim...

☮🌻☮

Hello, World!
I am a gen-X chiropractor/writer/magician in San Francisco and enjoy all things postal. I love going to film festivals, cemeteries, opera and traveling. I like 80s music, punk, metal, goth, rock, etc. :-)
Actually, I like almost all of the music that Puddles Pity Party performs, so I imagine we have the same taste in music. 🤡😅🤷🏻‍♂️
I go the beach in the morning before work to start the day on a bright note. Pictures of my beach mornings are on my Instagram: _kimakoi_

My FAVORITE things to read about on postcards are people's strange stories! Your strange or funny dreams, ghost stories, UFO, Mothman, near death, etc. Or strange things that you eat, strange habits... strange things that bother you, or if you have nothing strange at all, maybe tell me what is the last thing that made you laugh?

I love the stamps as much as I love the postcard, and I look at them with a magnifying glass. (To be honest, I'm getting to the age where I often have to look at the whole card with the magnifying glass!)

If you can't think of anything, draw a little picture of yourself (even a stick figure!) - even if you are a horrible artist. I love it all!

I listen to a lot of podcasts these days. My favorites are:
Spooked!, Old Gods of Appalachia, Unf*ck Nation with Gary john Bishop, Snap Judgement, Savage Lovecast, Death in the Afternoon...

Send whatever postcard you'd like to receive!

If you need more ideas, I like:
* spooky things
* vintage, historical
* deities from all traditions, "good" or "bad"
* unusual birds
* dark humor
* tattoos
* beautiful things
* LGBTQ+ (I am the T and B in the alphabet soup)
* cats
* ocean - anything related to big water or marine life, really

ALSO: I go to a lot of Postcrossing meetups and sometimes I host them. Do you wish there were more meetups happening near you? The best way to make it happen is to make it happen yourself! I made a tutorial video on how to set up a Postcrossing meetup: https://youtu.be/itHTNffFgqU

And finally... my biggest news right now - and a lifelong dream come true - is that my first book was recently published!! 🥳 It's a laugh/cry book about how we live our lives through our bodies. It's part memoir, part health manual and part business book. (and I also mention Postcrossing in it! 😊) :

Happy Postcrossing!
