I am a retired government worker, and retired soldier in the Army. I now have a part-time job in a bike shop building custom-made bicycle wheels. I enjoy cycling, bird watching, classical music, art, reading history, red wine & cheese, and theatre among other things.

I am also a retired amateur bicycle racer. These days I enjoy recreational bike rides to stay in shape, bike touring, and watching professional bike races on TV.

I grew up in Chicago in Illinois, and have lived in Georgia, Mississippi, Kansas, and Ohio. I now live in Northern Virginia outside of Washington D.C. I have traveled overseas to Canada, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, and Argentina (on business).
