About Kendall...

I would really like it if you would tell me a story from your life, like a memory from your childhood, a funny dating story, a trip you recently took, something life changing you saw, what made you smile today...

I live a life of color, see the pearly blues and purples in a gray sky, the golden wash that the sun leaves on a mountain in the late afternoon. I love the ocean, and I mean being in the ocean, feeling the rush of a wave pass over my body as I dive under. You know that nostalgic feeling, that sort of painful sweetness like you just licked a lemon? I chase that feeling. I'm just as at home with a mug of ginger tea under a white down comforter. I make my bed every morning, but I leave shoes everywhere. Animals make me smile without fail; I will cross the street to pet a stranger's dog. I collect illustrated children's books. Breakfast of choice: blueberry pancakes with real maple syrup and extra extra crispy bacon.

What I’m doing with my life

Just finished up college, about to start working at a gallery in Culver City. In the near future, however, I'm planning on traveling to Germany and becoming fluent in German, so I can apply to grad school for art history.
I’m really good at
I've been playing violin for about 17 years!
I also ride horses, jumping and dressage, about three days a week.My horse is a thoroughbred named Doogie.
I also have a cat named Houdini. He's an Abyssinian.

Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

My absolute favorite book for ever and ever is 100 Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. If you haven't read it, it chronicles the history of a family living in a fantastical village, and is full of love and the joy and tragedy it brings. I also love All the Pretty Horses, by Cormac McCarthy, because he describes the southwest with such incredible accuracy and beauty. It's also a book for anyone who loves horses. I just finished The Dog Stars, which is about man trying to survive with his plane and his dog after a flu epidemic wipes out most of the world's population. Right now I'm reading The Goldfinch. My favorite poet right now is William Stafford. Read "For My Young Friends Who Are Afraid"

Music: I like folk music like bon iver, fleet foxes, Field Report, Tallest Man on Earth
Also a lot of classical music. Right now obsessed with Philip Glass
