About K.c....

Greetings! My hometown, Colorado Springs, is considered one of the most beautiful cities in the U.S., and the city park, Garden of the Gods, has been voted by TripAdvisor to be the very best municipal park in the U.S. and also the second-best in the world. It is actually why I moved here.

Today I learned a new word: Cacography. The word “cacography” literally means the opposite of beautiful handwriting. I try my best usually, but often my writing is still cacography.

I enjoy being an assistant to an art teacher at a local primary school (grades K-5). And an art student at the University of Colorado. Both of these activities have been "put on hold" or paused since March 13, 2020, due to COVID-19 restrictions.

I am a "non-traditional" (older than most students) university student, studying Art History and the Visual and Performing Arts at the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs.

I have a career as an entertainer, songwriter, singer, and guitarist. (Before Covid-19)

When asked about my hobbies, I can never think of one. But, in January of 2018, I started Postcrossing and now it is a hobby I love. I enjoy receiving the nice surprises in the mailbox and learning about other places and people. Some people have become "pen-pals" and I like that a lot too.

I like all sorts of postcards, and will probably like whichever you choose to send. Postcards in envelopes are fine too! I send in envelopes sometimes so I can send more than one card or other items, and to protect the card. Most of my envelopes are self-made.
A Postcrosser in France wrote on his profile, and I quote him, "Oh, one last thing: almost all the cards are sent in an envelope. It allows the delivery to be faster"

My favorite cards are ^Unusual ^ Beautiful ^ Strange ^ Creative ^ Bizarre ^ Surprising images ^ Either Color or Black and White cards ^ Pin-Ups (nudity is OK) ^
Modern Art (being late 19th to middle 20th-century)
^Ancient Art ^ Fine art of any era, famous or not.
^Hand-made cards.

Or your very favorite cards to showcase your city, your country, your interests, or yourself.

I prefer single image cards more than multi-image cards
I love maxi-cards.
My least favorite topics would be military, violent, or weapon-themed.

But I'm sure any cards you would like to send will be fine and interesting.
Also, let me know a little bit about you. and the sending date.
If you would like to "pen-pal" or receive a card in return as a "thank you" just send me a message with your mailing address and I will be glad to send you something nice.
Also, if you don't mind, please try to put your own "return" address on the card, if there is room enough, to prevent the loss of the card in the mail system.

All the best wishes to you!
Kc / Ajax / Rufus (I have 3 names to choose from).
