About Kristy...

Hi! I'm from the US just outside of Washington D.C. I love traveling and have been to a few countries outside the states. Right now I'm into Scandinavian design and would love to visit any of the Scandinavian countries.

Green is my favorite color from forests to Kermit the Frog (I'm a big Muppets fan). I like to read anything and everything and watch films. My two favorite actors are Tom Hanks and Mads Mikkelsen. Right now my favorite television shows are Downton Abbey, Hannibal and Scandal.

I'm a huge Disney fan and take my two little girls at least once a year. I am fascinated with ancient history, particularly that of the Ancient Egyptians. I also enjoy reading about historical exploration such as that of the Amazon and Africa (particularly The River of Doubt and Into Africa). I love typewriters and books of any kind from Fantasy/Sci Fi to Biographies and everything in between.

I like to cook although I'm not quite that good at it so it would be great to receive recipes to try from all over the world. It would be fun to learn some new words/phrases in your home language. I try to visit at least one museum in every place I visit whether it is a Natural History, Antiquities or Art Museum. I like them all!

I'm not a winter person. I don't like the cold and not really into the snow unless it's a picture and then I'll all for it! I'd much rather it be warm all year round. Ideally I would live on a beach overlooking the ocean so I tend to try and take a lot of Caribbean vacations whenever I can.

I have an almost crippling fear of snakes where even the sight of one in a picture on on TV makes my heart race so even though I love the idea of hiking or enjoying nature I tend to avoid them in the warmer months.

I look forward to sending/receiving postcards from all over the world and learning more about your lifestyle and customs.

It would be great if you could put the date on the postcard.

Thanks!
Kristy
