Hello! My name's Julie and I'm a 20 year old college student (anthropology major, Spanish minor). I play violin and I'm in my college’s orchestra. I’ve been playing for about 15 years. I think I’d like to work in a museum in the future with my anthropology degree.
(If you speak Spanish you may write to me in it so I can practice!)
I love animals, plants, the sky and clouds, taking pictures, making art, and Minecraft.
I collect rocks/gems, vinyl records, old photographs, vintage or antique items, stickers, old cameras, and anything colorful or shiny. I like going antiquing and thrifting to find little trinkets or clothing. I also collect pressed flowers and leaves and display them in a photo album. I use a flower press I got from an antique store!
I’ve loved making art since I was a kid, most recently I like using paint markers. I like to draw animals most of the time. Draw or doodle something for me!
I have a dog named Maggie who is 13 years old! I’d love to adopt another dog in the future. I used to have an orange cat named Mr. Squibbles, and a bearded dragon named Fatty (my science teacher that I got him from named him).
I have a few house plants, a pothos, mother of thousands, and spiderwort/tradescantia. I had several more but I don’t have a green thumb and I’m sure you can guess what happened… :(
I listen to lots of indie music. Some of my favorite bands are Lovejoy, Owl City, and Imagine Dragons (although only one of those is indie, haha). I also like the 70s/80s band The Cars! I have most of their albums on vinyl.
I like impressionist art like Van Gogh and Monet, but I love all art of any medium!
