Hi everyone! I'm a 61-year old retired international trade lawyer. I just retired in January 2024! I live in Chautauqua, NY, a small town in western New York state. During the summer, Chautauqua is home to the world-famous "Chautauqua Institution" 9-week "season" filled with lectures, orchestral concerts, plays, operas and ballet. During the winter months my husband and I flee to our apartment in Escazú, Costa Rica to enjoy the warm weather and nature.

I love traveling and learning about other countries. When I was in college, I studied Chinese at Tunghai University in Taichung, Taiwan, so I know a little Chinese.

I have 3 grown children -- two are biological and one is adopted from Ethiopia. I also have an orange cat named Nugget. Love dance (ballet, jazz, hip hop), piano (early and modern music) and receiving postcards from all over the world! I also love the beautiful stamps that I am receiving.
