Hello! my name is Jessica and i was born in McAllen, TX, USA but my heart belongs to Oregon. Moved to Oregon at a young age and never left, I love this state with its beautiful trees in the green forests, rainy seaside shores, rolling hills and mountain tops, it looks different wherever you go. I live in the dessert part, where there is much agriculture (watermelon, onions, corn all kinds of beautiful veggies and fruit, also livestock!), this is what brought my family here as they were migrant workers. I don't live on a farm (although i would love to) I live in a small city called Pendleton where the biggest event is the Pendleton Round-up. I have worked as a Alcohol and Drug counselor for the last 2 years, i was in my addiction for a long time but found recovery through Narcotics Antonymous and decided that i wanted to give back the blessing of recovery that i myself received (9/17/2023 will be 5 years without the use of drugs and alcohol). In my Recovery i was able to rebuild the relationship with my teenage son (16) and my daughter (17), became a proud mom of 5 cats and a uncommon plant mom ( I often kill them accidently...but ssshhh that's a secret). My new Hobbies are sourdough starters for making bread, Beading all kinds of things such as: bracelets, necklaces, earrings, key chains and tree of life light catchers. I have a great group of friends that get together every Saturday to play dungeons and dragons my current character is a gypsy snake lady who makes potions and casts magic spells (she is so fun to play with an accent that is horrible). I am currently reading a book series by Rin Chupeco called the-The Bone Witch trilogy. I have some favorite authors but amongst my favorites are Classandra Clare, Marissa Meyer Janet Evanovich and my partner introduced my to Brandon Sanderson who is so amazing! my favorite will always Be Jane Eyre by charlotte Bronte. I love Fantasy if you cant tell but jane eyre has a piece of my heart. I love so many thing and i cant express it all in one sitting. If you need a topic to write I would love to hear your favorite quote or any good one you know, show recommendations would be greatly appreciated, also tell me about your pets or anything that you would like to share.
