Good day to you!

I'm a 19-year-old British chap, living on the south coast of England in the grand old maritime city of Portsmouth.

I dropped out of education in 2013 to run two startups, one which organises events, another which does media production (photography, filmmaking, news reporting, that sort of stuff).

I was first introduced to Postcrossing by my long-distance girlfriend Jutta, who, when I first joined, had sent 100 postcards on here! Crazy awesome dedication. Sending one another letters and packages when we're apart is integral to our relationship so naturally, we both love sending and receiving postcards through good old 'snail mail'. It's a refreshing break from the busy online realms of communication.

One of my favourite things about receiving postcards from strangers from across the globe is the fact that I can gain an insightful window into the lives of people from places, cultures, and walks of life from me, and learn about foreign lands through the perspective and eyes of the inhabitants of each place.

I'd love to hear:

- Something interesting about where you're from.
- Where you bought your postcard, where you wrote it, and how you travelled to get it (that may sound mundane but the way I've seen people travel in the countries I've visited often surprises me so much!)
- Your favoutite word, phrase, or idiom from your language, or a quote you like from someone famous in your region (maybe with an English translation where possible!)
- A song, band, musician, movie, book, website, blog, video, etc. that you're enjoying right now, or just generally really like.
- If you've been to my homeland of England, or even my hometown of Portsmouth perhaps, tell me what you thought of it, tell me what you did while you were here, and tell me what your favourite English word or phrase is!
- Miscellaneous random facts about you or your country would be interesting!
- Simply telling me what you did today, or sharing a memory that you're particularly fond of.

Or anything that's crossing your mind!

And the postcards themselves? I love beautiful photography, illustration, art, especially that depicting serene skylines, cityscapes, or oceanic vistas. I like owls, animation (especially Pixar, but also the likes of Disney, Aardman, Dreamworks, and the such), trains, old pictures of places, travelling, books, music, typography, dogs, cameras, food, old cars, planes, long exposure shots, paintings, technology, architecture, the sky, lighthouses, boats, houses, and so on!

But those are just guidelines. I also like surprises!

I'm not particularly fond of cats.
