I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, but have lived in Minnesota, North Carolina, Oklahoma, and now gorgeous northwest Arkansas, nestled into the green Ozark mountains. I am a special education (special needs) teacher, am married, and have a sweet wirehair dachshund named Whiskers because of her white muzzle. My husband is from Kiel, Germany, and we lived there for three years after we married. Kiel holds a piece of my heart. Ich habe auch Deutsch gelernt.

My hobbies are collecting hedgehogs (things, not the animals), traveling, painting furniture with chalk paint, and everything about India. My friend's mom says I was Indian in a former life, and this was a huge compliment to me! I spent six weeks staying with friends in India in 2008, a dream come true just to see daily life in a place I have dreamed about since I was very little.
