07/07/23 It is with the heaviest heart that I’ve said goodbye to my goodest boy, Radin. He lives on in my heart, but it certainly is broken

10/16/23 My newest rescue pupper is Hutch. The adoption of Hutch was much like Kintsugi, the Japanese art of mending broken pottery with gold, the purpose of which is to accept fragility and to build strength and resilience. Upon our first meeting, I was broken; Hutch is my gold, and together we are mending.

My name is Amy, and I live on the east coast of the U.S. I have BAs in Psychology and Criminology. I work as a Crime Analyst, employed by police in one of my state's largest cities.

I don't exactly dance to the beat of my own drum, but there is that pesky drumline following me around :) I am quirky and accepting of such. I am clumsy and not so accepting of such. I am always shy, sometimes self-conscious, vibrant, creative, affable, compassionate, a perfectionist, optimistic, and probably annoyingly enthusiastic. I am a bibliophile and read daily! I like several sports - I'm a runner! I'm creative and crafty: mail art, perler beads, ATCs

I am a "gym rat" training (approx. 12-15+ hours a week) for oodles of events: 5Ks, 10Ks, half marathons, obstacle courses, and my first marathon: October 06, 2024! When I'm not reading a book or sending happy mail, I can be found doing girly stuff like stacking wood, building rock walls, and running muddy, filthy obstacle courses; I'm versatile. Once upon a time, my Radin followed me around in all of my endeavors.
