Hi there! Alyssa here, from Arizona, USA. I'm so happy to be getting started with postcrossing! I love sending cards/letters, getting happy mail, and traveling, so postcrossing seems like the perfect hobby to hit all three of those interests! I also enjoy cooking, crafts (embroidery, art journaling, scrapbooking), reading (favorites are sci-fi, fantasy, and poetry), playing with my dog, finding interesting shops and restaurants, playing board games, and just generally seeking adventure. :D

I am so, so happy to get whatever postcard you choose to send me! Nature, art, tourism, funny ones, local culture, handmade, photography...I am thankful for you taking the time to pick one out and put it in the mail to me, and I look forward to seeing what you choose. :)

I can't wait to hear a bit from you about your life and interests, too! If you're searching for ideas on what to write, I'd love to hear about what a day in your life is like, your favorite book, your current favorite song, your favorite food and/or a recipe, a quote or poem that you like, or something funny that happened to you. Or if your native language is not English, I would love to learn an interesting word from your language, or the words for sun, moon, and stars!

Oh, also, if you speak French or Japanese and are so inclined to help me keep my skills from getting rusty, I would be very happy to receive a card in those languages to keep me in practice. :)
