Hello Friends All Around the World!

I love writing letters and cards as well as receiving them. I like receiving postcards that reflect your personality and interests. I love stationery and paper goods. I am going through my supply before I allow myself to buy anymore. There are just too many good selections out there!

I like hiking is the local mountains around Los Angeles County. I belong to a couple of hiking clubs that explore hikes in the area. I used to hike at 6am before work but I have started a new job and have a longer commute so I don't have the luxury of time to exercise. So hiking happens on weekends only.
I have just discovered surfing! I love it. I'm in the beginning stages of learning but I love the feeling of being in the ocean and not thinking about anything else to do.

I like receiving postcards of scenery, nature and travel. I try to do one international trip every other year. There are plenty of places to explore in the United States! My last international trip was to Portugal and the Azores in January 2020. I hope to visit Ireland, Bali and Thailand in the next few years.

I like unusual stamps too. In the US, our postal system debuts new stamps almost every month and during holidays.

If anyone else is interested in writing letters to strangers that need a little encouragement or going through a rough spot, here's another writing group I participate in - www.moreloveletters.com. Every month you receive 3-6 letter requests (domestic and international) and you can choose to write all or one of them. I choose to write all! :) Also, another postcrossing mate shared with me another organization called loveforourelders.org. You send a letter to a senior to cheer them up too. Send to one or all. New requests come every month.
