I taught English Literature for 35 years so love books, reading, theatre - and visiting beautiful libraries ( geeky, I know!). History is a passion too and I go to stately homes and places of historical interest when I can. I live in a little village which is full of history - it was once a Roman settlement and we still have the ruins of the bath house and granary, as well as a small Roman museum. The Ribchester helmet is famous, and is now in the British Museum. I particularly like going to writers' houses. I love art galleries and museums and going to exhibitions. Now that I am finally free of the school / college timetable I want to do a bit more travelling too.
Whenever I do any of the above I buy postcards - too many! - and would love to share these with others.
