About Heather...

Hello! We are a family of five living near the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. We joined this project so we could learn more about people and places in other parts of the world. We homeschool our children and use this project as a fun way to learn about geography and many more things! When the children are a bit older we will travel to some the places we are learning about now.

We are looking forward to receiving your postcards! We would love to hear about what it's like where you live, what you like to do and your passions in life.

If you are from the Czech Republic, I would love it if you would write a few lines in simple Czech. I used to study the Czech language (and lived in Prague in 1996) and would love anything Czech. :) I really love Mucha postcards!

Other than that, here is what we would like:
~ Your geographical area or neighborhood, especially street scenes
~ Pictures of libraries or book collections
~ Handmade cards
~ Art/Photography cards from artists of your country
~ Childrens book or childhood images, esp from your country's artists/authors
~ Folk art / vintage images from your country

I really love crafts such as knitting and sewing. I especially love to work with wool. I also enjoy photography, listening to music, reading, drinking coffee, and also chocolate and sweets. :) I have an online shop where I sell my hand knit things. http://www.etsy.com/shop/revolutionarywoolens

Lastly, we are interested in direct swaps and there are many little things we would love to trade for - a Matryoshka doll, Czech glass or Mucha cards, Sasuke TV show things from Japan, handmade things, fabrics/textiles, etc. :)

Happy postcrossing!
Heather
