I am a mother of three grown children and 14 grandchildren . I am a twin and so is my husband. I recently just retired from teaching elementary school for over 30 years. My twin sister was also an elementary teacher and she just retired. I love reading biographies and books on history. Currently I have been reading books on the Civil War. I also will read children’s books. A few years back I read every Newberry medal winner. I’m now trying to read the honor books. I love gardens and gardening. My twin sister talked me into running a 5k. I’ve also done a 10k . My favorite to run is a 5k through The LA Arboretum. My husband and I have been taking up hiking when we have a free day. I enjoy so much being out in nature. I love trying to identify the birds that I see. For over 40 years I have been involved in doing my families genealogy. A few years ago I finally did my DNA and have found relatives that way. My twin just did her DNA and on ancestry it said identical twin or same person. I’ve also started volunteering to index records for genealogy, and photographying headstones for Find a Grave. This is where people put in a request to have a relative’s grave photographed. We have 5 dogs, they are all Yorkies and a bird. Our bird is an African Gray parrot who imitates everything you say in your voice. You have to be careful what you say, because he will repeat it and in your voice. This has now become a problem with our bird Cookie recently trying to order on Amazon. Thank goodness I heard it in time to cancel the order.
