Hi!

My name is Jana and I live in a small peaceful village in the Czech Republic.
I returned to Postcrossing after a long break and I'm really looking forward to getting to know the whole world and new people through postcards again!

I work at a university where I help foreigners (mainly scientists, but not exclusively) who have decided to live and work in the Czech Republic. It's an interesting job and I have the opportunity to meet amazing people from different countries.

I love travelling. I have visited Greece, Tunisia, Egypt, Germany, Slovakia, Austria, Switzerland, France, Spain and Denmark and I'm looking forward to next countries.
I'm interested in Arabic culture and I studied Middle Eastern studies at the university, so I learned Arabic too.
Recently I discovered a new hobby - I moved to a village and I have a small garden for the first time. I started gardening and I totally fell in love with it. I started small for now, but I have some big plans for the future... :-)
My hobby is also reading. I prefer detective and horror books. My favorite authors are Stephen King and Lars Kepler. I also like poems, e.g. from Charles Baudelaire.
I listen mostly to rock music and I'm the metalhead. ;-) My favorites are Slipknot, FFDP, Trivium, Disturbed, Marilyn Manson and so on...
Although I'm not an active athlete, I'm a big football, MMA and biathlon fan.
I have a dog - his name is Sam and he is a Bernese Mountain Dog.
My favorite colour is red.

I'd like to receive postcards of:

- your hometown or capital city of your country
- things, which are typical for your country
- UNESCO
- something with Arabic or islamic theme
- animals (especially squirrels)
- Greetings from (Postallove) - I already have Singapore and Germany
- black & white or night pictures
- paintings by Leonid Afremov

But I will be more than happy for every postcard you'll choose for me :-)
I'd also be really greatful, if you can write me perhaps one sentence in your language. You can also write me something about yourself, some information about things typical for your culture or give me some tips for places to visit in your country.
