About Gretel...
I am a cat. At least that's what the two-leggers tell me. They are not particularly smart, but they do feed me, so I tolerate their presence. I am exceptionally beautiful. Which is perhaps why I find it unnecessary to be nice. I enjoy stalking mice, racing from one side of the house to the other for no apparent reason, and long naps on the two-legger's bed. And heaven help them if they try to move me. I like catnip, fish, small rodents, birds, laser pointers, toys, cozy blankets, warm places. But mostly I am irritable. Beautiful and grumpy. That's me.
I'm an indoor kitty, so I don't see much of the world. I would love to see how kitties live where you are from. Not that I'd like to meet those other cats. I don't, as a general rule, like other cats in my space. Or other people. Except maybe for my people which (as I said) I have learned to tolerate. Are there royalty where you live? How do their cats live? These are things I ponder while I spend 18 hours each day lazing on the back of the couch or usurping the baby seat for my napping pleasure.
