I grew up in Washington state and moved to California when I went to college. I have seven siblings. I also have two adult children (well, mostly adult - they are 21 and 22 years old) and two cats (Arya and Nymeria) who are sisters and they will be three years old in April.

I love to cook and bake (all kinds of food), read (fiction mostly), work in my tiny garden (where I try not to kill everything), and color in coloring books (do you know about Johanna Basford's books? If not, I highly recommend that you find her online. Her work is beautiful IMHO). It's fair to say I also love to photograph food that I have cooked, my cats and plants, and what I've colored. Sometimes my children, too. :)

I really LOVE spicy food. Thai food is my favorite and some day I hope to travel to Thailand.

I live in a small city in Northern California - just north of Berkeley, CA, and across the Bay Bridge from San Francisco, CA, where I work. I love where I live, even though it's expensive (and sometimes there are earthquakes).
