Hi, I have recently reactivated my Postcrossing account. It's been a few years and the world has really changed. But I really enjoy sending mail and appreciate the aspect of serendipitous human connection. I have been an avid collector of postcards all my life but it has always been a private hobby. However, I have too many postcards and would like to share some with you while also receiving some from far-flung places.

Here are some of my interests and the types of images that I enjoy:

Strong graphics, abstract art, vintage posters/travel images, iconic images of landmarks, black and white photography, images of people working, food, nature

I don't love the typical, contemporary American aesthetic of postcards, but I know sometimes it's hard to find postcards outside the norm. I also don't love ad or handmade cards unless there's something unusual or notable about them (a show you attended or a well-known restaurant).

I would like you to write something more than "happy postcrossing." Sometimes I feel I have nothing exceptional to say or share but would love to hear your thoughts about your life, how you are doing, what it's like where you live, how you're coping with the ongoing pandemic, etc.
