About Marc...

I'd love to receive anything that's revealing of the way of living in your country. Postcards depicting local art, customs, traditions or festivals are the best!
..You could write down a quote from a local author, share a song or movie, tell me what you did that day, or what you had to eat. Random facts about you, your day or your life are more than welcome!
..Teach me a word in your language, or literally translate a common saying (something funny - in Spanish, for example, "I love you an egg" means "I love you lots". Have you got anything like that in your language? ^^
..Tell me about a hidden jewel that only a local would know of.
Anything that will give me a sneak peek into your life or the place where you live works well! Where can you order the best coffee in town, or where is that tiny little beach unknown to tourists?
..Are you the artsy type? Draw me something! :D

Other than that, I'd enjoy:
..Postcards or pictures depicting local police forces - or maybe even patches, if you happen to have any. And don't hesitate to get in touch if you'd like some in return!
..Social criticism.
..Local arts and movies or anything else that's unique to your area.
..Funky wildlife from the area -- crazy animals and plants that you couldn't find anywhere else.

If you want to get in touch for direct swaps, you can write to me at garcia1683@gmail.com or check out my Couchsurfing profile at www.couchsurfing.com/garcia1683 .

I can't wait to hear from you!

All the best,

Marc Garcia

PS: A thought crossed my mind a while ago. Wouldn't it be really cool to share a chunk of your culture with someone who doesn't know anything about it? I would love to share a CULTURE BOX with you, if you're interested. The idea would be to pack up a book, movie and CD by a local/national author/actor/director/artist (books and movies dubbed/subtitled in English, though!), along with a snack typical from your area, and send it over the mail. It might possibly be expensive, but wouldn't it be neat? *_* Just get in touch if you're interested!

EDIT 30/05/2016: I now own postcards from Poland and Vietnam. The Polish ones are heavy on social criticism, and the Vietnamese ones are the most adorable thing, depicting cute customs that the Vietnamese have which can be shocking to Westerners. I also have superhero cards. If you'd like to have any of those, just get in touch for a direct swap! :)
