About Francis...

***** CURRENTLY: *****
Working on a cruise ship, so your card might take a little longer to get to me / mail might take longer for me to send. Please be patient!

Basically, I can't be in travel mode because I'm "traveling" for 6 months at a time, changing locations / countries every day sometimes. My address listed here is where my parents live, and when I get a card in the mail my mom takes photos and I read and register the card from wherever I am in the world.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

My name is Francis and I'm an American studying a PhD in Second Language Acquisition and Teaching in Tucson, Arizona. I've taught English in New Zealand, Hungary, France (in Upper Normandie), Jeollanam-do, South Korea, and Marie-Galante, Guadeloupe. Also, I was a French teacher in Minnesota.

I have also worked as a traveling busker/street musician. I travel to foreign cities, sing on the streets and live off the money I make there. I've sang in over 35 countries and visited 43. You can find my posts on Instagram by searching @francislarsonmusic :)

I released my debut album on Spotify or Apple Music -- search for my name and the word "Drifter"! or click these links:

My Bachelor's degree was in Creative Writing (Poetry) and French, and I have a Master's in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. I love good literature and films, languages, and quirky indie music. I love sending old fashioned letters (with wax seals and calligraphy pens and good stationery) and would be open for that as well if you'd like.

************PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR USERNAME ON HERE SO I CAN GO TO YOUR PAGE BEFORE REGISTERING. Often I find something we have in common / something I'd like to say, but only AFTER I've sent you a generic "thanks for your card" message. I'd like to learn that BEFORE I register your card.************

Postcards I like / what to write about:

*Music! Please this is my favorite! ***I'd love for you to write on your card to me your favorite band / song from your country.***
*Poets
*Quotations
*Idioms (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Idiom) from your language and where they come from
*What makes where you are unique -- the funkier / quirkier / weirder the better :P

*Say hello in your native language (and tell me the name of that language next to it)

*If you want to write in French, Hungarian or Scottish Gaelic, please do! I love reading in multiple languages :)

*The only type of cards I'm NOT a big fan of are City views (sorry, they just don't excite me all that much)
