Hi!-this is Frank from Germany,but I moved to Florida,USA Dec.2006-working there in a little german company and doing connectors and cable assemblies.Florida is a great country with the almost every day sunshine weather,no really winter here.Tamarac,where I live,is close to Miami in south FL,belongs to FT.Lauderdale.I like all these outdoor activities like boating,fishing,bicycling,camping,snorkeling-just being alot in the nature and sun-and all this especially in the Florida Keys.From my door to Key West and the southernmost point of the US I'm driving 3,5 to 4 h only.Thatswhy I'm there whenever I can.Overthere its already a real caribbean feeling with all this hundreds of Islands surrounded with this beautiful turquoise waters and if I go out a few miles with my boat I enjoy it even more!snorkeling a reef in summer-warm water,whats better then that!?-those Islands on the Overseas Hwy,us 1, are connected with 43 bridges and the longest one is 7!miles long.
I live in a small 1/1 Apartment by myself w.my cat,which I started feeding 2 y.ago-I'm surrounded there from a nice little yard and garden and really alot of plants,it's like stepping out the door into a real little Paradise,at least it is for me like that.Sometimes I go back to Germany to visit my daughter w.my 2 grandkids,2 suns-4 and 2 y.,and my sister and also still some good friends there.But I always happy to come back here,maybe I "arrived" here and I call it home.I still like Germany,I'm born and raised up there,but Florida is my new country of choice.I'm 53 now,but I'm feeling like still half this age!-I always trying think positive and beeing honest and always open for good new things and challenges.I'm trying to give what I expect from others,I think that's a good philosophy in life and I think the world would be a little better if everybody would live in this code.I'm not religious but that dosn't mean I don't believe in anything.I believe on our own strength and will to reach our goals in life or manage situations which looks maybe little difficult.I'm also fascinated of all kinds of mystics and unsolved mysterys,like visits on our earth from extraterrastriels or the holy gral story for example.
Now I'm trying to get this postcardcrossing started,to hear from other people!
