I grew up in Preston, Lancashire: a town that boomed during the Industrial Revolution on the back of the cotton industry. I spent a year at Uni in Birmingham, then transferred to Aberystwyth in Wales where I lived for four years. I loved living by the sea. I finally moved back to Preston where I met my partner of 20-something years.

In 2013 we moved to Carterton in New Zealand. It's about as far away from where I was born as you can get in the world before you start going back. :) I miss my friends and family, but I do love my new life and my new home.

I love reading, all types of crafts (primarily knitting, embroidery, patchwork & quilting, but I'm also dabbling with spinning and weaving), TV (fantasy & science fiction, K-dramas), and letter writing. I am open to new penpals, but can take a while to reply.

I cherish all the postcards I receive, but if you're looking for inspiration & have lots to choose from, I love anything book-related, or images of people reading. I like quirky art, maps, tree-houses, dwellings, landscapes, pop culture, flags, old adverts, gnomes, children's book illustrations, vintage photographic portraits, architecture and architectural drawings. Love rubber ducks, cats, goats and cows.
