About Stephanie...

My name is Stephanie, and while I now live in Michigan, I was born and raised in Florida. Yes, that makes me one of those rare native Floridians! :)

I have all sorts of interests, but my main ones are: reading, writing, creating jewelry, and cooking. I've recently set up a shop for selling my jewelry, though for now it still remains more of a pleasurable hobby - not my day job. I work in a bookstore, which is fantastic, given how much I love to read.

I read primarily science fiction/fantasy, but I've also been known to snag up the occasional romance. Science and biography can grab my interest too, as well as Dystopian novels.

Each November I participate in National Novel Writing Month, which has the goal of writing 50,000 words in 30 days. It's quite a challenge, but I've managed to do it twice. I've created my own fantasy world, and each year I try to focus on a different aspect of it, with different characters.

I love to drink tea, and I have many different varieties that I like to drink depending on my mood. I don't really have a favorite tea, though Lady Grey and Peppermint teas both rank high. I'm always on the lookout for a new tea to try.

Other than that, my favorite colors are silver and the deeper shades of blue, red, and green. I adore cats and kittens, and miss having one or two keeping me company in my apartment. I also love finding out of the way places that are off the usual tourist route. No theme parks for me, thank you! I've been to a few, but nothing beats finding a nature park and spending time there, soaking in the awe of Mother Nature.

I'm interested in receiving any type of postcard, but especially ones that show something unique about where you live.

If anyone would like to write me a letter, with a postcard tucked in it, I'd love to receive letters, and I'll even respond!
