Hello!

I'm Lori. I'm 45 years old and married with no children. I work as a legal transcriptionist and do volunteer work at a local animal shelter. I enjoy reading, writing, crafts, nature, animals, hiking, geocaching, museums, art, taking photographs...and, of course, sending and receiving postcards!

See my "Favorites" for cards I really like but don't have (yet!). Other themes and images I'd be interested in receiving include:

* Circuses and circus memorabilia (especially sideshows)

* Books and authors (pictures of books, libraries, or people reading; author portraits; illustrations from books)

* Fairy tale characters, creatures from fantasy/folklore/mythology, steampunk/science fiction/horror images (whimsical and/or creepy)

* Origami (I started doing origami last year, and I really enjoy it!)

* Playing-card-inspired art and images (especially jokers)

* Cemeteries and gravestones and "memento mori" type images

* Birds (pigeons, seagulls, crows, owls, etc.) and other animals (marmosets, hedgehogs, manatees, Himalayan black "sun" bears -- all kinds!)

* Carousel animals, local fairs, carnivals/masqued carnivales, etc.

* Trees and woodlands

* Inge Look's "aunties" (the two little old ladies having all kinds of fun together)

Personalized postcards -- either embellished/altered pre-made cards or handmade cards with your own drawings or photography -- are most welcome!

I've received over 400 postcards so far, and they're all so unique and wonderful! I love seeing what people have chosen for me (and not knowing what to expect), so please don't feel limited by my postcard suggestions. I love all kinds of images -- landscapes and landmarks (though I prefer single-view rather than multi-view), animals and art. If it's something meaningful to you, then it will be meaningful to me too!

I like both stamped postcards and cards in envelopes. I'd love for you to include personal messages, quotes, doodles -- whatever! -- on the postcards you send me. It's very cheering for me to go back and look at what people from all over have written to me. If you like to write, feel free to include a letter!
