Hello, all:)

I'm excited to be reactivating my old account to start sending cards again!

My name is Eve and I'm a journalist. I'm originally from Shanghai, China and now live in California in the United States.

I sent my first post card through Postcrossing back in 2012 when I was still a young 15 who has no idea what to do and where to live when I grew up. Now, I am currently working on my second master's degree in data journalism and just have relocated to California from Miami this August. So...life is just like a box of chocolate and you never know what's coming your way.

During my free time, I'm a huge fan of THRILLER, horror, mystery, suspense, and crime movies. If you're also a fan of these genres, feel free to share your recommendations with me. I love watching them alone when I need to unwind!

I also have a soft spot for DOGS! My first dog was a pure white Pomeranian named Lucy, who passed away peacefully in 2019 at the age of 15. My parents recently welcomed a new family member, a little female Shiba Inu puppy, Donut, who is currently eight months old and attending doggy school:)

I also love DOCUMENTARIES. Before I decided to focus on data storytelling, I used to use cameras to document the world around me. I make films about climate change. I care about female issues and gender disparities. I love the beauty of multiculturalism and globlization.

Time has significantly changed especially after COVID since I first used postcrossing 10 years ago. Totalitarian and pseudo democracy are tearing apart almost every corner of the world. Should we be worried or just learn to live with the collapse?

l don't really have a preference for cards. I will take every card as a unique gift that is specially chosen for me:)
