Hello! I'm a 30-something year old stay-at-home mom of 2 (a 6 year old girl and a 2 year old boy) and what brought me to the site was actually the fact that I thought this would be a really fun and neat way to teach them about geography and other cultures. So we're starting a "travel" book! I would love any sort of card that reflects the place you live...landmarks, animals or plants, historic or popular culture, anything native to your place. We would love greetings in your own language or any little cool facts about you and where you live. We're also total foodies, so mentioning a favorite local dish you like or even dropping a recipe (if you have space) would be awesome (but of course, not necessary). Or, just tell me about yourself - what you like to do, anything! I think it'd be amazing to learn a bit about people across the world.

Really, we'll be thrilled to receive anything. I used to do mail art years ago and always found it so exciting when something would be waiting for me in the mailbox. I'm really looking forward to participating here!

A little about me other than the mom thing...I love music - love to sing and play piano as well as compose pieces for piano (though I rarely actually write them out). I'm an avid reader and I enjoy pretty much any genre. I draw quite a bit and dabble in photography here and there. And I'm big on cooking and gardening - always enjoy trying new things!

EDIT - we've been doing this for a few months now and LOVE it! My daughter gets so excited whenever she finds something new in the mail! Thank you to all who have sent something to us and to all who will in the future!
