About Julia...
I am a seamstress and I make costumes for professional theatre. I love the performing and visual arts and I love the outdoors and camping. I would like to live in a French-speaking country for a few years so that I can become truly fluent in French. In the meantime, I travel as often as I can afford to. I collect commemorative and foreign stamps and buy a magnet for my fridge whenever I take a trip. I love taking pictures and I love learning the local history of the places I visit.
I would like to receive postcards of:
Nature: unusual views & angles, waterfalls, sunsets, unusual trees
Art: Art Nouveau, fantasy, art deco, sculpture
Fashion: Poiret, Erte, 1910's, 1930's
National costumes: kimonos, saris, lace mantillas
Animals: turtles, lizards, frogs, species native to your area
beautiful gardens (especially Japanese gardens)
Architecture: interesting buildings, details like gargoyles or stained glass
Something unique to where you live that most people don't know about, or a favorite place you have been
BUT MOSTLY I like cards that you can buy where you live - a card you bought online of my favorite art is not as interesting as a card you bought in your local market of something in your town.
I am NOT as fond of: multi-views, cards with borders or lettering, maps, sports, ads, black & white (unless it is old fashion)
I prefer postcards without an envelope.
Thank you!
