About Kate...

Hello!
My name is Kate and I live in Portland, Oregon. Other than postcards, I like reading (particularly science fiction and fantasy, and Victorian history), and I also like to cross stitch and embroider.

I'm trying to collect these kinds of cards and would be extra happy to receive the cards listed below. (Please check my album for duplicates, thank you!: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/0youfnv1jc5nty4/AAANWhEsPbimhlUniVT-bqVna )

-UNESCO World Heritage sites (but please no more of Cologne Cathedral, I have so many!)
-United States National Parks, Monuments, Historic sites, National Battlefields
-state/province/country flags and maps (for the US maps I'm only missing Rhode Island)
-Moomin
-Hello Kitty
-The Simpsons/Futurama
-Pokemon
-Nouvelles Images multiples
-animals (owls, elephants, gray whales, and sloths are some of my favorites)
-ancient Egyptian artifacts/buildings
-royal families (current and past)
- vintage-style poster cards (like from Lantern Press/Ranger Doug)

And I also like these themes:
-anything Japanese, especially cherry blossoms
-cards with art: Renoir, Monet, and Escher are my favorites
-fire hydrants (my boyfriend loves fire hydrants, and I have no fire hydrant cards! maybe you will be the first?)

I prefer NOT to receive recipe or religious cards, please.

I prefer cards that are stamped and sent without an envelope, but I am also trying to collect coins from around the world. If it isn't much trouble, I would be so happy if you sent the card in an envelope with a small coin (less than $1 or the equivalent) from your country inside! Thank you to everyone who has sent amazing coins from their countries!

Si tú hablas español, escríbeme en español, por favor. Estoy aprendiendo español y necesito practica. Gracias!

I look forward to finding your card in my mailbox! Happy Postcrossing!
