About Chia-Ying...

Hi, my name is Chia-Ying (In traditional Chinese: 佳盈). You can also call me Sophia. Sophia is the name I use in my U.S. passport. I am a Taiwanese American. I was born and raised in Taipei, Taiwan. I came to the United States for graduate school in 2002. Ever since then, I have been living and working in the U.S.

I enjoy traveling, needlepointing, weaving, coffee, daily journaling and taking photos. My most recent adventure was week-long trip to Budapest, Hungary in March 2016. I have a short trip to Montreal Canada coming up soon! My big travel dream is to go to Antarctica.

I especially love:
- collections from my favorites (You can see them here: http://www.postcrossing.com/user/cypan/gallery/favourites)
- atelier nouvelles images cards (see here: http://tinyurl.com/cmywx8k)
- map cards (maps of the world, modern and vintage, map of a place, subway/metro maps, etc.)
- hot air balloon cards
- cards with pictures of aurora (northern lights)
- cards of a garden or an arboretum
- cards with night views of a city
- cards of your country/city/town (tourist cards)
- maximum cards
- recipe cards (http://tinyurl.com/recipecard)
- UNESCO World Heritage Sites
- Gotochi cards (for more info: http://www.postcrossing.com/blog/2012/10/15/gotochi-cards)
- Little Prince cards
- Tintin cards (from comic albums by Hergé)
- Smurf cards
- Anything you send me!

PLEASE no advertisement/free cards! Also, please do not put your card in an envelop.

I enjoy learning different cultures around the world. On the postcard, if you don't mind, please write one thing that you think is most interesting (you define what "interesting" means) about a culture you are familiar with. You can also write your favorite quotes. I also enjoy reading something written in your first language (with translation - or not!).

Please date the card before you send it on its way to international travel! Looking forward to postcards from all over the world!!
