I recently received my 1000th postcard -- it was a huge accomplishment for me, as I started postcrossing 10 years ago, when my kids were just 7 and 4, and I didn't have much time for postcards in those early years. Thus, it took me quite a while to reach this milestone, but I have finally done it! Now I have a special request for this year: My daughter, Sadie, is graduating from high school in 2024 and, as you might imagine, this is a huge milestone in both her life and mine!! Next year she will be off to college :( so I would like to dedicate this year of postcrossing to her. If you can please address all cards DEAR SADIE, I would very much appreciate it. I would also love it if you could include a message (in either English or Spanish) of any ADVICE, WISDOM, or ENCOURAGEMENT you might have for her as she embarks on this journey, or maybe even a story of your own experience during this period of time -- anything you think that would be helpful to her as she finishes her last year of high school and begins college/adulthood. Her interests include ANYTHING MUSIC-RELATED (especially Britpop/ British bands and metal/grunge -- she sings and plays electric guitar solo, and as part of a band), monkeys are her favorite animal, Sagittarius is her zodiac sign, December 1st is her birthday, VW Beetles are her favorite car, but she loves anything to do with CARS and SKATEBOARDS, film/digital media will be her major, so she'd enjoy anything "artsy," and she loves traveling anywhere and everywhere (so travel advice/tourist postcards are fantastic - the more OBSCURE, the better). She is a dedicated Anglophile (she is hoping to do a year of study abroad in Britain), and she would love ANYTHING from U.K., including the "How to be British" postcard series. Any humorous or VERY WEIRD/STRANGE postcards (including ad cards), as well as any college-related or "Class of 2024" postcards are also PERFECT for her!
