About Christine...

Hi!

I'm originally from a small town, Main Street, USA and from a time where kids used to play outside all day, used our imaginations, respected our elders, and learned that being polite and helpful was important...then came MTV!

Now I live in New York City where this girl just wants to have fun, but really, with a family, it is all work and no play, but that doesn't stop me from being weird :)

Here is a little about me:

I don't like to fit in. I like to be unique - or at least think I am :)

I really love to do photography (window mannequins, catching people unaware, strange things found on the ground, things that don't relate to the surroundings).

I also love doing crafts, reading non-fiction, listening to foreign music (even though I don't understand the words) singing showtunes (even though I'm a terrible singer), collecting vintage photos of people, rainbows, and looking up into the universe (which is rare here in the City).

Things that fascinate me: Art Deco, the 1920's/1930's, old Hollywood, vintage circus and fortune telling, medical and scientific oddities, skeletons, cemeteries, the unknown and unexplained, kaleidoscopes, Rorschach patterns, reflections, secret societies, lost civilizations, and foreign cultures. I'm sure there are more things, but you get the idea - the weirder the better :)

Things I don't like: pink, girly, frilly, cutsie, broccoli.

I would be someone that appreciates a homemade, photo, art, drawing, etc. postcard, but really, the type of postcard you send does not matter. A postcard from your town or country would also be great. Really, though, I'm more interested in who you are. Feel free to teach me a new word in your language, recommend some music, tell me a secret, or maybe your favorite childhood memory - anything that you would like to share (books, movies, poem, etc.).

I look forward to getting to know each and every one of you!
Christine
