I've always loved sending and receiving postcards so when I saw reference to this site, I had to investigate it. I live in California in the US, forty miles from San Francisco. My favorite daily activity is walking, birdwatching, and admiring gardens. Though I'm not able to backpack as I did in my earlier years, I still enjoy getting out on the trail or even in the neighborhood. Fortunately, I have good neighbors and other friends to go with on a regular basis. Reading is another special activity for me, and I belong to two book groups which open my thoughts to material I may not have selected on my own, but I enjoy opening myself to new topics. Cooking and baking are also ongoing interests. Though I'm a retired special ed teacher for those with learning differences, I continue to enjoy helping extended family members from kindergarten through high school. I also prepare weekly Sunday School lessons to help students through the age of twenty to see the good in our world. I hope you choose to write me a postcard!
