Things I like:
*Writing - Though I write mostly short stories, I'm working towards longer work.
*Reading - Science fiction, mysteries, as well as non-fiction are favorites.
*Knitting - I am a slow but dedicated knitter ;)
*Bicycling - Spending time watching the world from two wheels
*Cooking - What can I say? I like food!
*Cats - We have one cat. One loveable, hairy cat.
*Bears - 1) it's our state animal and 2) what's not to like about them?. (To be exact, the Grizzly is our state animal. That's a lot of bear).
*Shipping ports - It sounds odd but I live very close to the Port of Oakland and can see the cranes from almost every vantage point in my neighborhood.

I live in California so random wild animals have a way of showing up in urban areas when you least expect them, like the turkeys that seem to pop up out of nowhere.

I always like to know where people live, what they do, what makes them get up in the morning. Recipes are always welcome - I live with a chef! If you're having a bit of a day, tell me about that too. Sometimes, you just need someone to listen.
