I am a Preschool teacher with a degree in Elementary Education and Psychology. I taught first grade for many years and I loved it. When I moved from the East Coast of the U.S. to the West Coast of the U.S., I started to teach in the Early Education classroom. My favorite age to teach is Pre-Kingergarten, because they love to listen to books and I am a children's book collector. I have so many children's books that I cannot even count them all. Some do not even fit into my house! My favorites are about cats. For instance, Pete the Cat, Splat the Cat, and Skippyjohn Jones. I especially like Skippyjohn Jones, because he is a Siamese cat and I had a Siamese cat for many years. I also like a beginning reader chapter book series called "The Magic Tree House" by Mary Pope Osborne. These books have two characters in them named Jack and Annie, and they go on the neatest adventures around the world in their tree house. My favorite thing to say to students about reading is that "books can take you anywhere!"

I have two cats. One is named Layla and the other is named Beth. Beth has been with me for three years now. Layla is 10 years old and is a tortie and Beth is a tabby and calico mix. I rescued both of them, and I think that they could not have found a better home! I just adore them.

Some of my favorite things to do are to read biographies and funny novels, watch my favorite television shows of which I have many, and take walks when it is not raining (which it does here a lot)! I follow celebrity gossip, watch some reality TV, and also watch cooking shows. My favorites are the ones in which the chefs have to compete to win an Executive Chef position and a lot of money. I also collect nail polish which is what I consider one of my guilty pleasures. I certainly cannot forget that my favorite, favorite thing to do is to play with my cats! I do not have children, so they are my children. Finally, I like to visit the zoo as much as possible (I love animals) and take lots of pictures. I then make books with all of the photos that I have taken.

I collect postcards with cats and animals on them or any other postcards that you might find at a zoo. I also love, love, love the Jetoy Cat postcards! But, just because I love animal and cat postcards, does not mean that I do not welcome any postcards. I love to get mail!
