About Carrie...

!!Urgent!!! If you have sent me a card that is not yet registered please reach out. I may have an address issue and am trying to correct this.

My love for postcards, mail, and pen pals has been strong for a long time. About 15 years ago I made a promise to myself that I would write my Grandmother more, and I kept that promise. When she passed away I found stacks of letters and postcards from me in her apartment. My dedication to writing her always had me interested in different cards and stationary. I would send letters home weekly to several friends and family, but the return mail was always slim. One of my girlfriends (who did write me) told me about Postcrossing, and I joined. It is awesome to have this many people share my hobby. May God bless you all!!! And HAPPY POSTCROSSING!!!

My husband and I moved to Sacramento California 7 years ago. We are experiencing the cities and town around us and enjoying ourselves so far. I was born in Wisconsin but grew up outside of Austin. I have lived several places in the United States including Alaska!

I live with my husband and our 6 year old daughter, identical twin boys (4), and two dogs: a Golden Retriever and a Great Dane.

I love sending postcards as much, if not more, than receiving them! I’m always excited when a card is received so I can read the members response. Then I’m excited to request the next address. I love looking at people's favorites and reading about their interests in hopes of finding them the perfect card. My collection is growing so I hope to have better variety when sending cards.

Some of my interests are:
-Spider-Man (My Daughter loves Spider-Man)
-Scooby Doo
-Giraffes and Whales!
-Calvin and Hobbes
-Books
-Vintage Postcards
-Halloween postcards (if you have a vintage one please send it blank...or even with the original writing because these are collectors items)
-Military
-The Simpsons
-Black and White
-Popcorn
-Alaska
-California
-Unique Postcards
-Christmas Cards (I do not mind if they come late)
-Unique: City views, streets, cafes, castles, villages
-Snowfall, snowy scenes…anything winter
-Guinness/Guinness Adds
-Quilting

-Hand made-postcards are welcome! Even add cards are ok if you found one that really fit my interests.

Another Postcrosser: "A good idea to get a cheap postcard and I like it very much:
Cut a rectangle from the front of a cardboard food box (cereals, soups, coffee, noodles, tea, rice, chocolate, etc.) and write on the blank backside, just like a normal postcard."

P.S. Unfortunately cards have been "injured" in the mail. An envelope is a good way to protect the card. (Its good to put the Code on the FRONT of the envelope) If you do use an envelope and you want to send the card blank I don't mind however I love getting messages too so I'm not specifically asking for this. The benefit of a blank card is I can sent it to another post crosser and share the love! I always keep my favorites but I like to send and share cards with others. =D

Thank You
