My name is Lydia. I'm nineteen and go to college in Boston. I have a wonderful, white, and fluffy dog named Aviv. He makes my life a whole lot better. I like knit, read, and eat good food. I speak somewhat pathetic Spanish, but I would love to become a lot better at it, and am learning American Sign Language and Hebrew, and hopefully I will learn more languagea as time goes on. Languages intrigue me because I think a lot gets lost in translation, and there are so many meanings you can only pick up and understand in the native language. Also, as a semi-sort of-not really religious Jew, languages like Ladino have special meaning for me. Ladino prayers are some of the most beautiful and spiritual prayers I have ever heard.
