I enjoy rock climbing, hiking, running, cooking, and writing... though not necessarily in that order :-)

My superpowers include:

2. Always taking too many napkins when I go out for tacos

Infatuated with natural beauty, especially snow-capped volcanoes and forests. This is a big reason I live in Portland; beauty surrounds us here and it reminds me that healthy community and green spaces are worth fighting for.

When the light is golden on a late spring afternoon, you can see Mt. Hood straight ahead, due East, and turning left you can see Mt. St. Helens to the North. See my Instagram photo from May 3rd 2017 to see what I'm talking about :-)

I love to travel, especially if it involves rocky coastlines, fog-shrouded mountains, and unique geology. Japan, Iceland, and Patagonia are on my list. I visited New Zealand in 2007 and I'd go back in heartbeat.

Serious foodie... some kids grew up reading comics, for me it was cookbooks. I love that anyone can read a recipe and then immediately recreate it. Science leading into artistry as you become more familiar with ingredients and techniques. That's another big reason I live in Portland :-)

Interested in how rapidly advancing technology affects our relationships. There is great promise and potential here, but also great peril if we're not careful. Why do we come into work every day? What is our purpose here? I'm not here to sell more widgets. I'm creating dreams and magic :-)
