Greetings from California!

I live in a beautiful town on the central coast of California.
I just learned of postcrossing in Decemer 2013 in a crafty magazine and was very excited to sign up. I enjoy writing letters. I also enjoy reading, sitting in a café with my sister drinking soy decaf lattes, making crafts (sewing, jewelry, ceramics, papercraft, etc), taking my pup on adventures, and traveling to new places. I’m looking forward to hearing about what life is like in other parts of the world!

I am looking forward to receiving any card you choose to send. I find the requests I have seen on others’ profiles helpful so I will include a few (however, please feel free to send whatever you like, even if it is not suggested here):
* view of where you live or other places in your country, either landscape or cityscape
* traditional foods of your country, especially sweets (coffee, tea, cookies, pastries)
* playfulness
* something significant in your life
* something you dream of – whether it is a place you would like to visit or live, an experience you would like to have, or something you would like in your life. Then on the back, explain what your dream is.
* I love animals, especially hedgehogs and narwhals. :)
* I like sweet, cute, and cheerful postcards. Please avoid war, violence, and profanity if possible.

I’m looking forward to the back of the card just as much as the front, so please tell me a little bit about yourself or where you live.
If you would like additional ideas, feel free to share about any of the following:
* your favorite recipe!
* something about yourself or your everyday life
* your hobbies, your dreams
* your favorite quotes (and the reason why it is your favorite)
* something in your native language with translation
* what makes you smile?
* what would you like to change in the world?

Lastly, if you are up for it, please draw a sketch of your favorite animal. :)
