About Jessica...

Hello, postcard friend!

My name is Jessica and I live in Seattle, Washington in the USA. I work for an indie plush toy company, sewing cute and strange toys for children and adults! Our website can be found at www.marninsaylor.com.

I also work with local puppeteers to fabricate their stages and puppets, volunteer for a local art house cinema and buy and sell used books.

I love:

-animals
-sewing
-blueprints and technical illustrations
-toys
-puppets, modern and antique
-anything miniature
-absurdist humor
-zines
-art deco
-abstract art
-sculpture
-movie posters
-literature and book covers
-comic books
-mythology and folklore
-Handmade or drawn postcards would be so deeply appreciated and fawned over!

But, please, feel free to send me anything that you want! I would especially love it if what you send is personal to you or unique to your country or culture and if what you write on the back tells me more about its meaning to you. If you aren't sure what to write, tell me about the best thing that happened to you that day, your favorite book, whether or not you like plums or anything you know about the mythology and folklore about the place you're from. Feel free to write in whatever language you wish! I enjoy finding the translation.

If you'd like to do a direct swap: most of the postcards I have are things I've collected because I like them. Lots of reading, art and architecture, often strange or silly. I sell our toys at Pike Place Market, one of Seattle's main tourist locations and so also have lots and lots of Seattle postcards. I'm happy to do a trade with anyone who thinks they'd like something from this collection.
