We are a homeschool family from Beaumont, Texas in the United States. We have three girls, Alyssa 9, Skylar 11 and Mackenzie 13. We also have a pet monkey, his name is Funky Monkey. Most people do not have monkeys for pets like us. He is a 4 year old cotton-top tamarin. He weighs one pound and wears a tiny diaper and runs free in our house all day.

Alyssa is in the third grade and she competes in gymnastics, she is second in the state right now. Skylar is in the fifth grade and she also competes in gymnastics, she is third in the state. They train three hours a night during the week and on Saturdays. They both love gymnastics and they compete about once a month, we have to drive about two hours for every competition and stay overnight in a hotel. They love it! Mackenzie is a Black Belt in Tykwondo, she goes about three hours a night and she won second place at the National Tournament this year. She is also on a volleyball and a basketball team.

I am a professional photographer, I photograph lots of babies. I also taught school for several years and now teach my girls. My girls were all foster children we adopted, they are awesome kids!
My husband is a mortgage broker but for fun he skydives. He has jumped out of an airplane 5,500 times! He likes to do that on the weekends. Beaumont Texas is very hot and humid. People think all Texans have cows and oil wells but we live in a city. We look forward to getting a postcard from you!
