About Alesha...

Thank you for taking the time to read a little about me. My name is Alesha and I am a 41 yr old mom, wife, yoga teacher, outdoor adventurer, lover of life, laughter, travel, honesty and all things from the heart.

Since I was a child I have loved receiving post. I hope to pass this on to my two young boys (Dascher age 6 1/2 and Racel age 3 1/2) and give them a sense of the world. I imagine us searching for a card just right for our next postal friend, making trips to the post office to buy international stamps, getting excited when we receive a card from anywhere in the world, and heading straight to our world map to see how far it traveled to land in our hands. There is so much communication via technology these days which is wonderful but I want to preserve and pass this craft of postal love on to my boys and share their joy. Feel free to post a card directly to them to really make their day! They currently love anything having to do with soccer or any sport, animals, lego, star wars, ninjas, superheros, tree houses, anything silly and images of kids from your country. Some of my passions are reading, running, yoga, biking, hiking, zip lining, experimental cooking, adventuring with friends, architecture and images of people having fun. We would love a card depicting any of these things, something about your culture, an image of you having an adventure, something unique or interesting from your country.

We live in Portland, Oregon USA - The City of Roses. It is the largest city in Oregon with a population of about 583,000. It is known for it's friendly people, eclectic food, music and art scene and most recently been popularized by Portlandia (search You Tube!). We are 2 hours from the beautiful skiing/climbing mountain, Mt. Hood, an hour from some of the best wind and kite surfing in North America (Hood River in the Colmbia River Gorge), 2 hours from the pacific ocean and 3 hours from the pulsing city of Seattle, Washington. We have very definite and distinct seasons. Summers are warm and beautiful, Fall is abundantly colorful with it's traditional colors of red, yellow, orange and browns, Winter is cold and wet, and Spring is bursting with brilliant flowering colors. Our parks, rivers, forests and gardens here are noteworthy. We are also home to the world famous Powell's Bookstore.

Thanks again for your interest. The boys and I can't wait to receive your post!

Much Love,
Alesha
